What we collect

Only what you send us on purpose.

This website has one form on it — Start Your Build. If you never fill it in, we never learn anything about you. If you do, here is exactly what reaches us and why we ask for it.

Your name

So we know who we are talking to, and can address you properly when we call or write back.

Your email address

To reply to your inquiry. It is the only way we can answer you if you do not leave a phone number.

Your phone number, if you give one

Building a house is a phone conversation. It is optional, and leaving it blank does not stop your inquiry reaching us.

Where you are building

So we can tell you straight away whether your lot is in an area we build in.

Which plan you were looking at

So the first conversation starts from the home you are actually interested in.

Whether you own your lot yet, and your rough timeframe

So we know whether the next step is talking about a build, or helping you find land.

Anything you write in the message box

Because it is what you chose to tell us.

The form also carries a hidden field that automated spam programs fill in and humans never see. It exists to catch junk submissions. It collects nothing about you.

Where your inquiry goes

To Aaron, and nowhere else.

When you send the form, two things happen. Your inquiry is saved in this website's own records so it does not get lost, and it is emailed to Aaron so he sees it. That is the whole journey.

Two companies are unavoidably involved in that: the company that hosts this website and stores its records, and the service that delivers the email. They handle your inquiry only in order to run those services for us. They do not get to use it for anything of their own.

We will also share information if the law requires it — a court order, for example. That is not a loophole we expect to use; it is simply true, and a policy that pretended otherwise would be worth less than this one.

How long we keep it

As long as it takes to answer you and, if you go ahead, to build your home and keep the ordinary business records that come with that. If a conversation goes nowhere, there is no reason for us to keep your details, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

Children

This site is for people looking to build a home. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen.

Keeping it safe

Your inquiry travels to us over an encrypted connection, and the records behind this site are password-protected. No one can promise perfect security, and we are not going to pretend to. What we can say is that the less we collect, the less there is to lose — which is part of why this page is as short as it is.
